Housing Voucher
HMHA offers two permanent supportive housing programs; Shelter Plus Care and Multi-County Permanent Supportive Housing. The Shelter Plus Care Program and Multi-County Shelter Plus Care Program were designed to help provide housing assistance to those in the community who are homeless and disabled. Promoting the idea that housing and services go together to ensure stable housing for homeless persons with disabilities such as mental illness, substance abuse, or various diseases. Hocking Metropolitan Housing Authority and our supportive service partners work to help ensure participant’s success in gaining decent, safe, and sanitary housing.
To be considered eligible for the Shelter Plus Care Program, applicants must;

Meet HUD definition of Homelessness (Homeless shelter, places not meant for human habitation)

Verifiable disability

Pass a criminal background check for sex offenders subject to a 25 - year - or more registration requirement

Household members must be a citizen or legal resident of the U.S.
